Engineering Information Center
The ENGINEERING INFORMATION CENTER serves the teaching, learning, research and academic communities of the College of Engineering and Computing. As its core mission, EIC is responsible for developing and implementing the College’s Information Systems strategy. This includes the evolution of the underlying computational technologies as well as the communications infrastructure that serve the Center’s diverse set of constituencies. This cyberinfrastructure has played a key role in the continual growth of the College’s research and instructional programs.

Access Grid Virtual Institute
The Access Grid Virtual Institute at Florida International University (FIU) offers fully collaborative AccessGrid enabled lectures, workshops, and presentations which are designed to give the scientist, engineer, and student an understanding of how cyberinfrastructure resources are utilized in Engineering and Computing; and to simultaneously stimulate and develop funded proposals, creative thinking, a professional attitude, economic judgment and environmental consciousness. The aim is to develop the professional’s potential to the fullest, to prepare the professional for superior performance in collaborative technologies and their use in research, education, grant preparation, and outreach.
